There is a .dll file inside the framework folder.. COULD be that mcafee thinks it is a virus (it isnt) Try turning off mcafee and downloading it-then install... make sure afterwards to turn mcafee back on though

everything is in the right place i checked.

but then that means i would have to burn thoses files to the sims DVD because there is no bin file on my hardrive or did i miss somewhere that i was sopose to copy a few folders from the game to the hardrive?
by the way i can't click on the link to download from that site or any link to get it started, i hit save as and its a "download.php" file as well is this normal or not?

ps my folders goes like this: Computer -> Acer (C:) -> Program Files(86x) -> Electronic Arts ->
The Sims 3 -> Game -> Bin (they go here) <-----?
                -> Mods -> Files
                            -> Packages
                    Resource.cfg

SORRY to bug, but I think I finally found out whats going on,
Here's whats wrong can ANYone (moose lol)  please Help me???

I went to check out my program files and I found that I have 2 of them, Don't know why but Now all of a sudden I do, My 2ND program files says Program Files(x86) which has Electronic Arts
then says Mods
And The Sims 3
but I already have a program file that came with my PC and it also has the Electronic Arts with The Sims 3 in it.

So why do I now have 2? I think this was made when I downloaded the WinRAR So what do I now do because Nothings working ,not my monkey helper or WinRaR or Resources.org or anything.

If I move it will it mess up my game? If yes then why did it appear when I already have a Program Files?

I know for sure I didn't make it so what do I do?
Can I move it? Or I don't know maybe put the original Sims 3 into the new one which is Program Files(x86)?
I really don't want to mess up my game or do something stupid, well any more stupid then what ever it was I did that made this new one.

TY for any help you maybe able to give!

check your program files  (x86)... are the other things in there besides "electronic arts"?
If no...then you prolly copied and pasted the wrong location when you put the mods folder in
Right click my computer..see if it says 32-bit r 64-bit operating system.

my PC says 32 bit op sys, I didn't copy or past anything that's why I'm confused as to how the other Program Files came to be it has Mods,Packages,File and The Sims 3 in side of it, But It wasn't there before, So I'm clueless as to how it got there now, I swear I didn't added it.
Can I move the stuff in to my regular Program Files? If Yes where should I add them? is it OK to add them to Electronic Arts that has the original Sims 3 in it?

OK Went and did what you say, but now inside reg progm files ea arts the Sims 3 , it has the same things and b4 when you showed a pic-tutorail and i told you i didn't have it but now I have all that's inside the pictutorial as shown in your intructions on page 1.

my new question s do i now just delete x86 folder and program files or just leave it alone because my main problem was trying to use resources.org and the monkey help plus etc, i tried downloading the boots it said access denied i tried downloading and using curly hair also got denied and so this is why i checked in the st place what was going on with program files and found the x86 program files. I am so thankful for all your help and yet I'm making a bigger mess of thing and don't know how to fix it so thanks and hope you can once again help me out, you really are awesome when it comes to this stuff!  (UPDATED) I deleted the other program files x84 folder,  Sim3 already has the same things in it. Re downloaded WinRAR, Monkey helper & Framework, Which I think is causing my downloads not to work because I'm getting these messages: !   C:\Users\My Name\Desktop\MTS_Shep_969377_Asymetric_Top_by_Shep.rar: CRC failed in Asymetric_Top_by_Shep.package.
The file is corrupt !   C:\Users\My Name\Desktop\MTS_Shep_969377_Asymetric_Top_by_Shep.rar: Unexpected end of archive.
No matter what I do or download I get this message when I'm trying to extract anything.
I save them as intructions say to do then let winrar do the extractions & then I try t save them to mod folder in side EA Sims 3. where that message above comes up.
what did I do wrong?

Ok, I've read through this entire thread thoroughly, to make sure I wasn't repeating myself, as I know that's a pain. I used to mod a forum, so I know how disgusting having to reread the same question over and over again can be. Anyway, I've done everything your very informative pictures up there described, and I've done everything you've offered for advice, but I still cant see a single downloaded .package. I've even tried removing them, and replacing them, and I still can't see anything. It's just a 32 bit, so I know its in the right folder, and I also know that because I tried moving it around. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong, I've done absolutely everything I possibly can, any help?

I have decided today that I am going to install a new OS. Which means I am going to do a fresh format.
In the process of doing so.. I am going to follow my guide to the tee, and see if I may have left something out.
If I did...I will fix the guide.. and everyone having issues can slap me as in the .gif above the guide.
If I did not.. Uh.. Then there is a problem.
I will Pm you and talk with you personally to cut down on posts in the guide and try to solve your problems.
I am looking at 3-4 hours from now  to back up files and then reinstall everything including other software and gadgetry.. I will keep you updated as in delays if necessary

Maybe I will even play with the install monkey at some point - seeing how some people are using that as well..

my new question s do i now just delete x86 folder and program files or just leave it alone because my main problem was trying to use resources.org and the monkey help plus etc,
If you are sure that the EA Games folder (and its contents) are the only things inside the "Program Files (x86)" folder, you should delete it now.

i tried downloading the boots it said access denied i tried downloading and using curly hair also got denied
Which version of Windows are you using? Are you using an account with administrator privellages?

I think is causing my downloads not to work because I'm getting these messages: !
This often means your download, or copy of WinRAR, has become corrupted. It may be antivirus software interfering with the unrar process. Try extracting the RAR with a different program, something like 7-Zip. If you still get the error, try disabling antivirus software during the unrarring process or redownload your file.
If you still get this error, try contacting the package author, they may be able to check their upload and, if necessary, re-upload their file.

I save them as intructions say to do then let winrar do the extractions & then I try t save them to mod folder in side EA Sims 3. where that message above comes up.
To let WinRAR save into the EA Games folder inside Program Files, you may need to run it "elevated". You may have to right-click the WinRAR icon and choose "Run as administrator". Then, find your file by clicking File->Open archive. Try extracting again.
