Are you getting any form of errors? Is there any stage of the guide that doesn't work?

or

Have you followed the guide and installed your content but nothing is showing up?

Read this stream with great interest and amusement.
I, too, would like to add some mods to my game BUT - in the standard installation (on D drive, mind you, there is no MODS folder under TheSims3\ .
The only folders I see are: Caches, Game, Game Data, Support and Thumbnails.
Does it mean I have to open a Mods folder, myself?Huh?
Confusing!!!!!

I am having the exact same problem! I am going crazy. I have been at this for like an hour trying to do as the instructions are telling me. I get 14 errors, then I do the Run as Administrator thing and that's where the instructions stop matching up with my screen. I am so confused. Please help.

I have Windows Vista and I think I installed the framework.

if you are using a drive other than c, either type the location of your sims 3 folder, or open the rar file and drag the contents to it.
this is what your  sims 3 folder should look like:

I think that was the problem.

If I now have a Mods folder and my Sims 3 folder does indeed look like your pic, does that mean that I have everything correct and I can continue on in hopes of everything working out?

I'm not very good at this and have gotten myself messed up again.

I clicked on the boots link and clicked on the link on that page:
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?yyogtdmmzmz

that took me to another page where I was given the option to "start download"

now it's asking me if I want to open with... WinRAR (default) or save file

which one am I supposed to choose b/c I tried to open it with WinRAR and the next screen I get is, I guess the WinRAR program and there is no option to "extract files".

My choices are:
Add files to archive
Extract to the specified folder
Test archived files
View file
Delete files
Repair archive
Extract without confirmation

Where should the boots be saved? Maybe I have them in the wrong place, too?

if you dont save, then you gotta use "extract to" then set the path to wherever your folder is located
if you save, then you should get the other extract options

I finished following your instructions and everything seemed to go smoothly. However, when I played my game, the boots weren't there. Where should the files be saved? I have them in G drive. I think that is my external hard drive. That should still work, right? As long as I don't disconnect it, of course. I'll try to reinstall the framework like you told Jade3D on the first page.

I did, but they aren't in C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages

They are in G:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages

G is my external hard drive.

Should I put everything in my C drive in order for these mods (and some hair and clothes I downloaded from peggyzone.com) to work?

When I try to go through the instructions again and put everything in C, I am told there are 14 errors. I right-clicked my WinRAR icon and chose Run As Administrator like you said and tried it again. I got the same 14 errors.

Is this version of Framework supported on Windows 7? Or does this whole thing not work for Windows 7?

EDIT: NVM...I have no idea why I thought it wouldn't work.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS. I for the life of me couldn't figure out how to get this to work from other sites.
