[OUTDATED] The Illustrated Guide to Installing Mods

I need help!!! I am ok up until the folder. I have nothing in my mods folder. Also. It never gave me the option to extract files, it only said extract files and then something else. I am not computer savy, so I really need it explained step by step.

Okay I downloaded that thing from the link(i am a mac user), and everything worked out great so far. and then i started downloading some things from the sims 3 exchange. and i dont know if im doing this right but i click on save file in the exchange item i want to download. then i click show in finder and i moved the item into the mod pakage folder. but then when i play the game nothing is different. nothing has been added.

To install stuff from the exchange, follow the instructions from the EA website:

uhhhhh....i did everything and downloaded all the stuff...but im confused...how do u get the content INTO the game.cause its not showing up. DX
