What is the difference between Sims 3 and Sims 3 WA?

What is the difference between Sims 3 and Sims 3 WA
I know that WA is an expansion pack but what does it add to the game

The sims 3 WA allows for vacation and exploration to Egypt, France, and China. Within each region, Sims can learn new skills like photography, wine making, and martial arts. Each region has its own foods that you can learn and then make at home. Also, World Adventures brings new clothing and buy/build objects you can use whether or not you're in the new regions. You can now build basements. It adds new exotic looking wallpapers, floors and a few new hairstyles not found in the base game. This expansion is alot of fun, I have it and play it alot. The great thing about expansions are that even if you dont end up liking the core new gameplay features you can enjoy the new items, objects, hair, clothing etc.
