When I play, Sims3 does not give me time to do anything during the day. Time passes very fast, I've noticed that 5 steps are two minutes! Anybody know any mod or some trick to make the sims the same, but time goes slower?

Thanks a lot!

Well obviously your sims walk incredibly slow.

Nah, its just the clock in the Sims 3 runs rather quickly.

@OP, Ionno if there are any mods to make the clock itself go slower without slowing down the sims too; but there might be somewhere.

When the game first came out people were complaining that the highest speed wasn't fast enough, which I agreed with (it took about 10 or 15 minutes in real time for my Sim to get a full 8 hours of sleep), and one of the first updates patched this issue.  Maybe that's why it runs so fast now.  I fee like there should be a way to uninstall that specific patch, but I'm not 100% sure.

No he means he wants the guy to take like 10 steps in like 4 Sim minutes

He wants space-time to coincide with how it is in real life.
So however long it takes someone to take 10 steps in real life, is how fast he wants the sims to walk/move in the same sim-time.

i think netwars got it

its pretty true though. the sims take like 1 step per minute.
but the game shoudln't be 100% realistic. otherwise everyone would get bored of it.

If it was like that, then the game would take forever. Sleeping from no energy to full would take a REAL nights rest. Might as well be playing Real Life than the sims if that were true.

And thus the fast forward button was created.

game designers are NOT physicists. they are not hair dressers or fashion designers. they cant be expected to make everything perfect. ( i know i get annoyed with the hair. its weightiness and the way it sits on the sims heads D:) they cant be expected to sit there and perfectly simulate the way someone walks or talks or moves. and if they did it would, as Daimonas said before me. it would get boring.

Huh I've never heard anyone complaining that it's too fast...sometimes I get overwhelmed if things aren't working properly or when I was really inexperienced with what's going on.

I don't believe there is a mod nor a cheat code that can slow down time but I can offer my advice: take things in stride. When you feel it's going too fast just pause the game and line up a certain amount of things you want your sim to do.

Personally it's easier for me to use ~ - 4 for game speeds, sometimes it's harder to react to pressing the on-screen buttons when you're controlling a sim.

I hope that helps =\
